Test MoBlogging

Monday, 29 January 2007, 8:53 pm, me

This is a test entry of me blogging from my mobile phone.

Ok i’m still in front of my computer but hey must test first yah? Hopefully this will allow me to post more entries cos most of my ideas come when I’m out but when I get home I become lazy and distracted by the many things to do and procrastinate to post. Which explains why you haven’t read anything new in awhile. Heh.

Amazing unloading excavator

Sunday, 24 December 2006, 4:46 am, me

Just another cool Singaporean clip going around on the net.

Amazingly, for the amount of content Singapore contributes on the net, I dare say very few would have ever heard or can identify us.

$12 buffet

Sunday, 3 December 2006, 10:27 pm, me

Had a $12 “ma la” steamboat buffet on Friday night with Soph and Jbb due to one of Soph’s spontaneous cravings. Not that I like steamboat for that matter cos everything just taste boiled.
What happened resulted was being sick on Sunday morning. Soph and Jbb had it worst with fever mainly cos they gobbled down the most food. Hahaha.

Anyway as Haojian will later say, “Not all $12 buffets can eat one you know“, I don’t think it was fully the restaurant’s fault.

Sure it looked dirty, but if it is the cause then everyone there will be down with food poisoning and NEA will be down on them in no time.

Thus my guess would be unhealthy steamboat practices. So here’s are some good steamboat practices that you should follow:

  • Do not mix raw and cooked food together. Putting raw food and cooked food together on different sides of a plate counts too.
  • Do not use the same chopsticks to throw raw food into the pot, and eat with them.
  • Do not use tongs which people used to pick raw food from the buffet table to pick up the fruits.
  • Do not throw uncooked food into the pot when fishing out the cooked stuff.
  • Do not quick dip your beef slices and have them rare.
  • Fish out cooked food only when the soup has boiled.

No prizes for guessing which weren’t followed. Haha.

I’ve a feeling we’ll be avoiding steamboats for some time now.

Picture of You

Tuesday, 21 November 2006, 2:39 am, me

Yi Xin forgot this song, so I’m posting it for her.

Brought to mind when trying to picture *ahem* her new present.

Anyway this song is remembered cos somehow God spoke through it to us during one morning devotion back in VJC.

“Why’d it take me so long just to find, the friend that was there all along.”

The last straw

Friday, 17 November 2006, 12:32 am, me

So we were all seated at MOS Burger stirring the milk into our iced teas, when one of my friends exclaimed,

Friend: “Hey how come all you guys have the bendy straw but mine is straight?”

*beat*

Friend: “It must be cos I’m straight! Hahaha…”

Everyone gives him the “duh” look.

Me: “Well, or it could be that you inserted it the wrong way.”

Friend pulls out straw, embarrassed, and everyone burst into laughter.
