Science Students shouldn’t write Arts paper
Just had my first paper today. It felt like a long time since I have taken an exam, and what more and essay paper.
Somehow even when answering the essay question, I think I answered it in a rather scientific manner. Even if not, I kept thinking of ways to quantify my qualitative argument.
“What is your definition of a Singapore film?” started with defining a set of criteria, which is typical, but almost escalated into me assigning weights to them and creating a fuzzy set. In another question I ended up saying that the sample size is insufficient for me to conclusively answer the question! Eeks.
Seriously, since they are encouraging cross discipline studies, we should take into considerations the differences in the students and mark accordingly. =)
Haha.. yah fat hope. Another arts paper next thurs. Feels like I have come this far only to be killed by an arts module.
