I can’t take anymore wishes of Happy New Year. Why must the new year always be happy?

Yah it’s nice and romanticized and encouraging to hope for good things in the new year but then this day doesn’t always have to feel happy. It’s just a big cliche that everybody uses.

And it’s worse when everyone around you wishes you that in their bright cheerful facade. Stop wishing me that. Say something encouraging if you want but dun give that cliched, meaningless greeting. Not for this year at least.
