End of 2005
So the year is coming to an end, but it felt like it hadn’t started.
Sure there are things that went on in the past year but it’s all like a blur. Like when you’re on a train and the surroundings wizz by the window. Things do catch your eye but only for that while, and at the end of the trip the only things you remember was having had something, not really remembering what exactly.
2005 was like that.
Maybe if I try hard enough I could actually list down the year’s events but it’s just too difficult to do so. And for what cause, when the way this year is ending is just like the last. It’s like a cycle coming one full revolution, like climbing up a hill only to find yourself sliding back down to where you started.
Or to put it in another way, you might have actually progressed down the road, but then found out that you lost several things during the journey, so much so you can’t really compare if getting there was actually more worth than never starting.
So 2006 is just another new year, and if you are those who say happiness is really what we make it out to be, then I’ll just force a smile a say, Happy New Year to you.
