weird bug?

Monday, 12 December 2005, 12:30 am, me

Found a funny bug in my Wordpress system.

Whenever the string “ncc<space>” appears in a text input, the follow error occurs:

406 Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /wp-admin/post.php could not be found on this server.

Anyone has any idea why?

Malay Wedding

Monday, 12 December 2005, 12:22 am, me

First time attending a Malay wedding today.

The groom was my NCC-mate back in sec school. Funny thing is I don’t recall ever seeing him since. But the way we greeted each other and the rest of our distant friends was as though we meet up often.

Found out that those void deck weddings you see are actually the public reception. The actual ceremony is usually held the day before. And also usually that’s only half the family cos the bride and the groom’s family each hold their own reception at their respective homes.

And it’s because of that we nearly missed the wedding couple. Got there just when the groom left for the bride’s place, and was told they would be back quite late.

The bigger trouble was that our point of contact did not bring the invitation card (the rest of us were notified through email) so we were a bit paisei to go and eat first cos we don’t know anybody there.

After deciding that we would just give the “ang pow” to his parents and go eat outside, we ended up getting invited to have lunch there as his dad said the groom would actually be back earlier than we thought.

So we stayed until the entourage arrived and got to witness how the ceremony was like. It’s nice to see traditions still being practised in our modern days. Sort of preserves our cultural heritage I guess.

The couple looked really grand up on the stage. Just feel so happy for them. Well regardless of what wedding it is, what race or religon, they should all be happy occasions. )
