Have been adding banned words to prevent comment and shout spams whenever a new spammer appears. However after looking through the site statistics, discovered I’m being referrer spammed too. Therefore installed a plugin to block referrers containing certain keywords. If you can’t access this site thru a link, chances are the URL of your originating site contains some of these keywords.

Spammers are getting smarter. It’s a never ending war against them.

Ooo.. an update. Thanks. =) Is there a protocol to automatically check for plugin updates or is the developers working on one atm?

Sorry for the late response. I believe if you use the plugin manager plugin, you can find out about the updates from there too and automatically update. I follow the conventions and the plugin has been registered with wp-plugins.net
