Plugin: Spoiler
Spoiler plugin to hide spoilers or just to make your post look neat.
Update: 1.6.x and beyond
]V[orlock Zernebock has updated my plugin to work with the new visual editor, and has brought it to version 1.6.2. Get the updated plugin from his site
Update: Version 1.6
- Changed tag to work with WP 2.0 WYSIWYG editor.
- Backward compatible with old tags.
Features:
- Easy customisation of text for each different spoiler.
- Displays a simple link instead of a button.
- Less code per tag use.
- Supports multiple spoiler tags on the same page.
Installation: Place this file in your plugins directory and activate it in your admin panel.
Usuage: Enclose spoiler text between <spoiler 'show text' 'hide text'> </spoiler> in either blog entries or comments. Show and Hide text are optional.
Example:
<spoiler 'Show me the text' 'Hide it from me'>
Example of a spoiler text which readers might not want to read.
</spoiler>
For WP 2.0 users using the visual editor, use the [ ] brackets instead of < >
Example of a spoiler text which readers might not want to read.
[...] ajax-spoiler를 포기하고 Simple Spoiler와 Lightbox JS version 2.0로 업데이트하니 둘 모두 완벽하게 돌아가는군 그런데 문제가 뭐였는지 아직도 모르겠다 [...]
[...] I’m using the Simple Spoiler plugin by Leong Wai Kai for the ’show/hide text version’ function. It was just the 1st plugin at wp-plugins.net that suited my needs, so I tried it. [...]
[...] A regular reader of this blog is so fanatical about avoiding “spoilers” that he will not only avoid reviews but won’t read the blurb on DVDs or books (he’ll be squinting at this post through his fingers - don’t worry, I’m using Leong Wai Kai’s excellent Simple Spoiler). [...]
[...] Readers In preparation for WP 2.3, and future iterations of Wordpress, I’ve been trying to cut out as many modifications to the core files as possible. The last major hack in the core files right now (most current hacks are to the WP Content folder) is the kses.php change to enable the Simple Spoiler plugin. [...]
Comments
I like the spoiler plugin - but it keeps disappearing every time I save. Are there any other steps I need to take?
Every post previews OK, but once I publish, it disappears. If I try to edit the HTML for the post, it will not save with the spoiler link either.
Ideas?
There’s nothing else you need to do. It works for Wordpress 1.5.2 and has not been tested for Wordpress 2.
Try turning off other plugins and see as they might be conflicting.
