Price Hike at Spinelli
Went this morning to Spinelli get my usual “small cap double” and heard the puzzled expression of the guy before me regarding the amount of change. Took a second look at the menu and noticed that the expresso drinks are up 60 cents! Additional shot up 20 cents! Ahhh… that means my usual drink is now 80 cents more! That’s a 27.6% increase! Oh well, now actually I can sample the different brews that Spinelli has daily. Will be going to Coffee Grounds, the new cafe outside Medical Library tomorrow. Allegence to Spinelli slightly wavered.

Taste: Mellow with a nice rounder body. Extraordinarily smooth and mild.
Had the daily brew instead of my “usual”. Just as described, was smooth and mellow. Jelly liked it but I kinda find it too mild for me. Lack of the oomph that an expresso shot has. Well it’s still much better than the “long kang zhui” from the other side.
