Am tempted to go into a techincal explanation on why Skype is cool but I have been receiving feedback that most people do not understand all my techie posts. Therefore I shall say Skype is cool because 1) you can have conference calls with regular telephone clarity; 2) with a bluetooth wireless headset/mic, it’s more portable than your codeless phone. Handsfree too; 3) It’s FREE!

For the uninitiated, Skype is a VoIP client which means with a broadband connection and a microphone, you can have a “normal phone” conversation with other Skype users.

Started chatting with Fishie last night cos she wanted to test out her new mic. Then found that David has Skype too so we had a conference call. Then Andre jumped on the Skype bandwagon too and ended up having a hour long “conversation”. Suddenly it felt just like old times when we’d just call each other up on the phone but never really talk cos both parties are busy in front of our computers. Sounds quite bo liao now though. Well now we can do the same with Skype! and we can have conference calls so we can stay connected while we go about doing our own stuff… haha… can be even more bo liao! w00t!
